Twitch to Sell Games in Spring

Twitch has announced via Twitter that they will start selling games this spring. Streamers will get a five percent cut of any sales made on their channel, and the original creators will get seventy percent. People who make these purchases will also get bonuses from a Twitch Crate, including emotes, badges, and Bits (Twitch currency) according to The Verge.

Specific companies that have signed on with this deal include Ubisoft, Telltale Games, Paradox Interactive, and several others. This service will start out only in English, with US dollar prices. Localized versions will be announced later this year.

I'm an English Major with an emphasis in writing. When I have the free time, I love to play video games. I'll play just about anything, but my specific favorites are side scrollers, action games, and fighting games, specifically the Super Smash Bros. series. I prefer to play as a team, but I'm just as willing to compete, so long as the game is fun.
