Minecraft DLC Will Allow Players to Fly

David Keningale, the art director for 4J, has revealed details about DLC that is coming to the console versions of Minecraft. It’s a mini-game called Glide, which will allow players to fly.

Glide will equip players with elytra wings. It includes a Time Attack mode, which will allow players to use thermal drafts and speed boosters to beat the clock, and a Score Attack mode, which challenges players to fly through rings. Players can play solo, or compete with up to 16 players.

The first DLC pack will be “themed around beasts,” and will include a kraken-themed level, an icy mountain with yetis, and a Chinese mythology track, which will allow players to fly alongside dragons. These tracks will cost money, but no price has been given yet. There will also be free tracks, like a temple-themed one.

Glide will be available on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One tomorrow.

I'm an English Major with an emphasis in writing. When I have the free time, I love to play video games. I'll play just about anything, but my specific favorites are side scrollers, action games, and fighting games, specifically the Super Smash Bros. series. I prefer to play as a team, but I'm just as willing to compete, so long as the game is fun.
