Following leaks on February 26th, Warner Bros. has announced the sequel to 2014’s critically-acclaimed Shadow of Mordor. Fans of the series will be pleased to learn that the main character, Talion, as well as the popular Nemesis system will be making a return in the game. The cinematic reveal trailer is available to view now, and the game is set for a summer 2017 release.
The game features the return of Talion and Celebrimbor, who work together to combat the Dark Lord Sauron. The game will be an open-world, with the player forging rivalries with enemies through the award-winning Nemesis system. One of the highlights of the reveal trailer is the addition of Dragon-riding to the game. Talion can now take to the skies in his fight against the forces of Mordor, adding an extra dimension missing from the original game. Gameplay from the reveal trailer also shows a large-scale siege taking place, expanding on the Nemesis system from the original game.
