Red Dead Redemption 2 Delayed

Rockstar Games announced last year that they were working on a sequel to the critically acclaimed Red Dead Redemption. It was previously scheduled to be released in the Fall of 2017, but they announced via Twitter today that the game has been delayed until Spring 2018.

They elaborated further on their official website, saying that this “will be the first Rockstar game created from the ground up for the latest generation of console hardware, and some extra time is necessary to ensure that we can deliver the best experience possible for our fans.” They added that they “are very sorry for any disappointment this delay causes, but we are firm believers in delivering a game only when it is ready.” Hopefully the finished result is good enough to justify the delay.

Red Dead Redemption 2 will be released on the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. Check back here for more information on the game as it comes.

I'm an English Major with an emphasis in writing. When I have the free time, I love to play video games. I'll play just about anything, but my specific favorites are side scrollers, action games, and fighting games, specifically the Super Smash Bros. series. I prefer to play as a team, but I'm just as willing to compete, so long as the game is fun.
