After a set of delays, Ubisoft’s sequel to the critically-beloved South Park: The Stick of Truth has a concrete(?) release date. While the original title underwent similar problems with its release, it still won the fans over with the final product, and Ubisoft is looking to do the same with South Park: The Fractured But Whole.
The new trailer released at E3 2017 details some of the story setup for the game, along with the new release date of October 17th. The aforementioned story is that of the “new kid,” the RPG player-character joining the core group of South Park grade-schoolers for a journey of humor, debauchery, a whole lot of vulgarity. Once again, the group of characters is divided, but now as superheroes, parodying the likes of Batman v. Superman and Captain America: Civil War. Will you side with Mysterion? The Coon? Or with my personal favorite hero, Mintberry Crunch? Choose your side, possibly in October, or possibly whenever it gets delayed again. Check out the trailer right here!
Warning: Strong language in the video below, as is to be expected of Cartman and the gang.
South Park: The Fractured But Whole allegedly releases on October 17th, 2017 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC. Stay tuned to NextLevel Gaming for more coverage in the coming months and a review upon the game’s release.
