Assassin’s Creed Origins was released on October 27 of this year, and just today Ubisoft revealed that some interesting DLC will be coming this month. According to their official website, a Nightmare difficulty level is coming.
As the name implies, Nightmare mode will make enemies more resilient to damage and more dangerous in combat. The option for enemy scaling will also be available, which will scale lower level enemies up to your level. Two new quests are also coming. Here Comes a New Challenger will introduce Horde mode, which will pit players against an endless wave of enemies in the Cyrene arena.
But the real surprise is the second quest. Ubisoft only describes it as “a surprise new quest,” but a GIF below this description shows a chocobo, a creature from the Final Fantasy franchise. This isn’t the first time the two franchises have crossed over with each other, but it’s an interesting tease, nonetheless.
Assassin’s Creed Origins is out now on the PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One. This DLC will be available later this month.
