Nintendo released the NES Classic Edition back in 2016. This was a replica of their original NES console that had up to 30 of their classic games stored into its memory. It sold out quickly before being discontinued in 2017. They later released a Classic console for the SNES, which included 21 SNES games, including the never-before-released Star Fox 2. Unlike the NES Classic, this was never discontinued, and is still available to this day.
Yesterday Nintendo of America announced via Twitter that the NES Classic would be returning to stores on June 29. The tweet confirms that both the NES and SNES Classics should be available “through the end of the year.” Hopefully everyone who wants the NES Classic can get it this time around.
