The Headlines

League of Legends added to MLG Pro Circuit: Popular MOBA game, League of Legends, has been added to all future Major League Gaming events, with its first appearance this year at the Spring Championship in Anaheim. Twenty teams will be competing from June 8-10 for a prize pool of $40,000.

Red Bull Battlegrounds: Red Bull, one of eSports’ biggest sponsors, has announced that they will be hosting the “Red Bull Battlegrounds” from May 26-27 in Austin City, Texas. The tournament will be held in the Austin City Limits Live within The Moody Theater, which has seating for 1,500 spectators.

Halo: Reach Spring League: In order to accommodate Halo: Reach competitors, Major League Gaming has announced that they will be hosting an online-only league for the popular shooter. Games will be played through MLG’s Gamebattles system. No prize pool has been announced yet, but expect an update within the coming weeks.
