Just Announced- The Elder Scrolls Online

The Elder Scrolls series will apparently soon be getting the MMO treatment according to Game Informer Magazine.

This new online installment is set to be the cover story for their June issue but they’ve posted a small announcement regarding the new title today.

Developed by the team at Zenimax Online Studios, The Elder Scrolls Online merges the unmatched exploration of rich worlds that the franchise is known for with the scale and social aspects of a massively multiplayer online role-playing game. Players will discover an entirely new chapter of Elder Scrolls history in this ambitious world, set a millennium before the events of Skyrim as the daedric prince Molag Bal tries to pull all of Tamriel into his demonic realm.

The Elder Scrolls Online is reportedly slated for release on Mac and PC in 2013.

    I’m actually kind of terrified by this, that it’ll do the same thing to The Elder Scrolls that WOW did to Warcraft: Kill everything good about the series.
