Nintendo Power Magazine Will Stop Publication

On August 22, 2012 by Lindsey

One of the longest-running magazines in America is ceasing publication, according to Kyle Orland of Ars Technica. Many of us grew up with Nintendo Power, but after twenty-four years, it will no longer be in circulation. Sources mention that the decision was largely based on Nintendo’s refusal to renew their contract with Future Publishing, which also publishes MacLife and @Gamer magazines. Nintendo Power’s staffers and editors were informed of the decision last week, and will be transferred to other projects with Future Publishing, according to Orland.
Still, though, many who grew up with the magazine are sad to see it go after such a long run.
