Minecraft coming to Xbox 360
It’s been known for a while now that Mojang’s crazy-popular Minecraft was going to make an appearance on 360 someday, but now we know when and, maybe more importantly, for how much. The much celebrated free-roaming game, where you can build whatever you can dream up, will be available for Xbox LIVE on May 9th for 1600 Microsoft points (the equivalent of twenty bucks).
The press release from Microsoft notes that this 360-exclusive will boast new features such as a redesigned crafting interface, up to four-player split screen, and online play over LIVE where you can play with up to eight players.
Minecraft is also part of a LIVE promotion called ARCADE NEXT in which Microsoft will be releasing bigger and beefier Arcade titles.
